08 / PROFILE.SYS

A designer’s eye.
A developer’s curiosity.

TODAY

I’m a senior front-end developer, independent since 2020. I work with good people to make complicated things feel simple. Sometimes that means a product interface. Sometimes it means a website with a little more character.

THE LONG WAY ROUND

I started as a graphic designer, fell into code, and never quite picked a side. A decade later, that overlap is still where I feel most useful. I work with React, TypeScript, and WebGL on the web, and SwiftUI for my own small products. Based in London. Happy working a little further afield.

Front-end
developer

Solid foundations. Thoughtful details.

I build interfaces that people can actually work with: clear application structure, predictable state, and components that hold up beyond the happy path. Performance and accessibility are part of the work, not the final checklist.

Interface
designer

The way it works is how it feels.

I design the interface and its logic together. That means information hierarchy, component states, useful empty screens, and a shared visual language. When there is an existing direction, I turn it into a system; when there is not, I help find one.

Creative
developer

A little unexpected. Never accidental.

I make interactive websites and WebGL experiences for studios and independent brands. The aim is not more movement. It is the right moment: something that explains an idea, rewards curiosity, or simply makes a project feel like itself.

maker

From a small problem to a useful thing.

I build my own products as well as client work. I find a specific problem, make the scope smaller, design the experience, and take it through development and release. It is a good reminder that the most important feature is often the one you leave out.

HOW I WORK

Tools move fast.
Judgement still matters.

I use new tools with the same old questions.
Does it help? Is it clear? Is it ready?

01 / BUILD & REVIEW

Set the direction.
Check the details.

I start by understanding the problem and the constraints. Then I explore, prototype, and build. AI can be useful along the way, but a generated answer is a proposal—not a finished decision. I read the code, test the behaviour, and own what goes into production.

02 / OBSERVE & UNDERSTAND

Less guessing.
Better questions.

A useful product is shaped by the people using it. I look at support notes, usage patterns, and the awkward steps a dashboard does not always reveal. Tools can gather the evidence. Choosing what to do with it still needs context, care, and a conversation.

03 / DECIDE & DELIVER

Useful freedom.
Clear boundaries.

Repetitive, reversible tasks can run quickly. Sensitive decisions get a deliberate human check. I keep the scope visible, document the important choices, and leave the project in a state another person can understand. Fast is good. Dependable is better.
